Who's Your Ideal Customer? Let's Find Out!
Understanding your target market is like having a secret weapon. It allows you to:❖ Tailor your product or service to specific needs
❖ Craft marketing messages that resonate
❖ Find the most effective channels to reach potential customers
❖ Price your offering appropriatelyLet's dive in!

Step 1: Create Your Ideal Customer Avatar
Think about the person who would benefit most from your product or
service.Consider:
Demographics (age, gender, location, income level)
Psychographics (interests, values, lifestyle)
Pain points (what problems are they trying to solve?
Goals (what do they want to achieve?
Example

For our business planning app idea I've considered:
25-45 year old entrepreneurs and small business owners
Individuals in urban or suburban areas
Motivated to launch or improve their businesses
Seeking efficient solutions for planning and strategy development
Desire to minimize time spent on planning while maximizing effectiveness
Step 2: Validate Your Avatar with Real Data
Now that you have an idea of who your customer might be, let's gather some real-world data:
Use Facebook Audience Insights — Even if you're not planning to advertise on Facebook, their tool provides valuable demographic and interest data.
Conduct Surveys — Use tools like Google Forms or Typeform to create a short survey. Share it in relevant online communities or with your network.
Engage in Online Communities — Find forums, Linkedin, Reddit communities, or Facebook groups where your potential customers hangout. Observe their discussions and pain points.
Analyze Competitors — Look at who's engaging with your competitors on social media. What kind of content resonates with them?
Step 3: Create Your Customer Empathy Map
An empathy map helps you dive deeper into your customer's mindset.
Consider:
What do they think and feel?
What do they hear from others?
What do they see in their environment?
What do they say and do publicly?
What are their pain points?
What are their goals and aspirations?
Your Task for This Module- Create your ideal customer avatar

Bringing Your Idea to Life (Quickly and Cheaply)
We're talking about one of the most exciting parts of the process:Creating your Minimal Viable Product MVP.What's an MVP?
It's the simplest version of your product that still delivers value to your customers.
It allows you to start the learning process as quickly as possible with
minimal resources.

Why is this important?
❖ Saves time and money
❖ Allows for quick feedback and iteration
❖ Helps you avoid building something nobody wantsLet's dive into creating your MVP
Step 1: Define Your Core Feature
What's the ONE thing your product must do to solve your customer's main problem?
For our business planning app example:
Core Feature: Generate tailored business plans, marketing strategies and website architecture based on user input.
Step 2: Choose Your MVP Format
Depending on your idea, your MVP could be:
A landing page describing your product
A video demo of how your product would work
A simple prototype or mock-up
A 'Wizard of Oz' MVP (manual backend with automated frontend)
A concierge MVP (fully manual service to a small group of users)
Example

For our business planning app example, I used the following MVP format:'Wizard of Oz' & Concierge MVPs Method
I created a landing page offering a free resource to build an email list, followed by an educational email sequence that nurtured leads into a beta test.
Business plans and marketing strategies were delivered using the OpenAI API.
I built a simple AI agent that generated the entire blueprint while collecting feedback to refine my future offers
Step 3: Create Your MVP
Now it's time to bring your MVP to life. Remember, it doesn't need to beperfect!
For a landing page: Use tools like Carrd, Clickfunnels, or even a simple Google Form
For a video demo: Use screen recording software or simple animation tools
For a prototype: Use tools like Figma, Adobe XD, or even paper prototypes
For 'Wizard of Oz' or Concierge MVPs: Set up the customer-facing part and prepare to manually fulfill the backend
Step 4: Prepare for Feedback
Create a system to collect and organize feedback.
This could be:
A feedback form on your landing page
A dedicated email address for beta testers
A system for tracking user behavior (for digital products)
Your Task for This Module- Define the core feature of your product
- Choose and create your MVP format
- Set up a system for collecting feedbackRemember, your MVP doesn't need to be perfect.
It just needs to be good enough to start the learning process.Click on the button bellow, and we'll focus on building a micro audience to test your MVP.This is where you'll start to get real validation for your idea!
Keep building,
Lucian Dorca

Finding Your First Fans (It's Easier Than You Think!)
Now, we'll be focusing on a crucial step: building a micro audience to test your MVP.Why is this important?❖ Provides real feedback from potential customers
❖ Helps you refine your idea and messaging
❖ Creates early adopters and potential evangelists for your productLet's dive into building your micro audience:

Step 1: Define Your Audience Acquisition Channels
Based on your target market research from previous steps where does your audience hang out online?
Consider:
Social media platforms —LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok
Online communities —Reddit, Facebook Groups, Discord servers
Forums —Quora, industry-specific forums
Content platforms —Medium, YouTube
Step 2: Create Valuable Content
To attract your audience, you need to provide value.
Create content that:
Addresses their pain points
Provides useful tips or insights
Microcreator Idea Validation System 12
Entertains or inspires
Example

Content ideas for our business planning app example
LinkedIn posts featuring tips for effective business planning and strategy development.
Reddit posts discussing common challenges entrepreneurs face when creating business plans and sharing solutions.
Facebook group discussions focused on best practices for startup growth and marketing strategies.
Step 3: Engage and Build Relationships
Don't just broadcast – engage!
Respond to comments on your content
Participate in discussions started by others
Offer help and advice where you can
Step 4: Direct Traffic to Your MVP
Once you've started building relationships, you can begin to introduce your MVP
Share it as a potential solution in relevant discussions
Create content that naturally leads to your MVP
If allowed, make direct (but not spammy) promotions in your chosen communities
Your Task for This Module- Choose 2-3 audience acquisition channels
- Create a piece of valuable content for each channel
- Engage in at least 5 relevant discussions in your chosen communitiesFind 3 natural opportunities to mention your MVPRemember, building an audience is about providing value and building relationships. It's not about hard selling at this stage.Click on the button bellow, and we'll focus o running your first sales test. This is where you'll start to see if there's real demand for your idea!

Lucian Dorca

Show Me the Money! (Or at Least the Interest)
Now we're running our first sales test. This is where we start to see if people are willing to put their money where their mouth is.Why is this important?
❖ Proves real demand beyond just interest
❖ Provides concrete data for decision making
❖ Starts generating revenue (potentially)Let's dive into running your sales test:

Step 1: Set Your Test Parameters
Before you start, decide on:
Test duration (e.g., 1 week, 2 weeks)
Success criteria (e.g., 10 pre-orders, 100 email sign-ups)
Pricing (if applicable)
Step 2: Prepare Your Sales Funnel
Depending on your MVP, this could be:
A sales page with a payment processor
An email sequence leading to a call booking page
A landing page with a strong call-to-action
Example

For our business development app example I've used:
A landing page with clear, compelling copy that explains what does it do (do what, for who, how).
Feature highlights and a prominent call-to-action encouraging users to start a free trial or explore a demo.
Step 3: Drive Traffic to Your Offer
Use the audience you've been building to drive traffic to your offer:
Share your offer in the communities you've been engaging with
Create content that naturally leads to your offer
If budget allows, consider small-scale paid advertising
Step 4: Track and Analyze Results
Monitor your key metrics throughout the test:
Traffic to your offer
Conversion rate
Any feedback or questions from potential customers
Your Task for This Module- Set your test parameters
- Prepare your sales funnel
- Start driving traffic to your offer
- Set up a system to track your key metricsRemember, the goal here is to validate demand, not necessarily to make a profit. Even if people don't buy, their behavior and feedback provide valuable data.Click on the button bellow, and we'll analyze the results of your sales test and discuss how to make a go/no-go decision on your idea. This is where all your hard work comes together.

The Moment of Truth: Is Your Idea a Go or a No-Go?
Now, we're going to analyze the results of your sales test and make that crucial go/no-go decision.
This is where all your hard work over the past week comes to fruition.Let's dive in

Step 1: Gather Your Data
Collect all the data from your sales test:
Number of visitors to your offer
Number of conversions (sales, sign-ups, etc.)
Conversion rate
Any feedback or questions from potential customers
Any technical or logistical issues you encountered
Step 2: Analyze Your Results
Compare your results to the success criteria you set on previous steps.
Did you meet your goals?
If not, how close did you get?
What patterns did you notice in the data?
Example

For our business planning app example:Goal: 50 sign-ups for a free 30-day trial
Results:
500 visitors to the landing page
40 sign-ups
8% conversion rate
Several questions about marketing strategy and website architecture compatibility
Step 3: Consider Qualitative Feedback
Beyond the numbers, what did you learn from interacting with potential
customers?
Were there common questions or concerns?
Did people seem excited about your offer?
Were there any surprising reactions?
Step 4: Make Your Decision
Based on your analysis, you have three main options:
Go: Your idea shows strong potential. Move forward with development.
Pivot: There's interest, but something needs to change.Maybe it's the pricing, the features, or the target market.
No-Go: There's not enough interest to justify moving forward. It's time to explore a new idea.
Remember, a "No-Go" isn't a failure – it's valuable information that saves
you time and resources!
Your Task for This Module- Gther and analyze your data
- Review qualitative feedback
- Make your go/no-go decision
- Plan your next steps based on this decisionCongratulations on completing this 7-day journey!
Whether your result is a Go, a Pivot, or a No-Go, you've gained invaluable insights and experience in the process of idea validation. What's Next?
- If it's a Go: Start planning the full development of your product or service
- If it's a Pivot: Use what you've learned to refine your idea and run another validation cycle
- If it's a No-Go: Take some time to reflect, then start the process again with a new ideaThis is where all your hard work comes together.
